Honda and Nissan called off merger

Honda and Nissan have confirmed reports that their merger project has been abandoned. Honda's proposal to change the alliance's structure was rejected by Nissan. The automakers will return to the original model from March 2024, focusing on industrial partnerships in electrification and software. In a joint statement with Mitsubishi, once considered part of the merger, the companies affirmed their commitment to a strategic partnership for the future of AVs and EVs.
