Stellantis Tests Frying Oil as Fuel for Its Vans

Stellantis has launched the HVO Aurora project to demonstrate that its light commercial vehicles can run on hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), including used cooking oil and animal fats. The initiative aims to show immediate CO2 reductions without technical modifications, as current Stellantis vans are already HVO-compatible. A Citroën Berlingo and a Fiat Ducato are undertaking a one-month European road tour to collect real-world data on fuel consumption and emissions.
