European Parliament approves Euro 7 standards

The European Parliament has approved the Euro 7 pollutant emission standards, following an agreement signed in December 2023. The current Euro 6 exhaust gas limits remain in place, but the new standards introduce limits on particulate emissions from brakes and tires, along with a battery durability index.
