By 2023, global new vehicle sales have returned to pre-Covid levels

Global new vehicle sales rebound by 12.7% in 2023 to 92.7 million units, returning to pre-Covid levels. According to figures compiled by OICA, China has passed the 30 million mark, while Turkey is one of the most dynamic markets. In second place is the United States, where vehicle sales reached 16 million units (+12.5%), including 3.1 million passenger cars (+9%) and, above all, 12.4 million pick-ups (+13.7%). However, unlike China, the US market has not yet returned to its 2019 level (17.5 million units). In third place, India sold 5.5 million vehicles (+7.5%).
