Euro 7 Tire Emission Tests Delayed Amid Method Dispute

The European Union has postponed a decision on testing methods for tire particulate emissions under the upcoming Euro 7 standards until February 2026, after experts failed to agree on a common approach.

Michelin is pushing for real-world testing to better reflect on-road conditions, while Bridgestone supports a controlled laboratory method. The European Commission will make the final call, though work on validating real-world measurements will continue in the meantime.
