Tata Motors Acquires Iveco in €3.8 Billion Deal

Tata Motors has completed its €3.8 billion acquisition of Italy’s Iveco Group, excluding its defense division, which was sold to Leonardo for €1.7 billion. The transaction transfers Iveco’s truck, bus, and engine operations to Tata, while defense activities remain in Italy. Iveco employs 36,000 people across 19 factories and 31 R&D centers, generating three-quarters of its revenue in Europe. The merger strengthens Tata’s European footprint and expands its portfolio in sustainable transport, with a combined projected revenue of €22 billion and annual sales of 540,000 vehicles.
