Europe Could See 600,000 Zero-Emission Trucks by 2030

The European Commission forecasts between 410,000 and 600,000 zero-emission trucks on EU roads by 2030, accounting for 5–9% of the total fleet. Battery-electric vehicles are expected to make up 65–90% of this number.
With only 7,500 electric trucks registered in 2024—mostly light-duty models—the Commission stresses that infrastructure expansion and financial incentives will be vital to meet climate targets and decarbonize road freight.
