New battery coolant

The TotalEnergies group has partnered with Valeo to work on a cooling system for electric vehicle batteries using a new dielectric fluid, capable of reducing the weight of the batteries, while also making them safer. By intervening directly in the heart of the battery pack, the dielectric fluid will make it possible to dispense with all or part of certain components necessary for cooling the batteries, such as the cooling plates, which will make it possible to lighten the total weight and therefore increase the autonomy of electric vehicles.
