Minimum training for road drivers

On December 23^rd, 2022, a directive relating to the initial qualification and continuous training of drivers in road transport was published in the Official Journal of the European Union. Entering into force on January 12^th, 2023, this text aims to guarantee the minimum level of training for drivers in Member States. Countries in the European Union will ask drivers for a certificate of professional aptitude attesting to their initial qualification and their continuous training in terms of the knowledge of safety rules, defensive driving to anticipate dangers, or efficient driving.
