Volvo Trucks launches EVT series production
Volvo Trucks is increasing its electric truck manufacturing volumes with the start of production at its Belgian factory in Ghent. Volvo electric trucks are now manufactured in four factories: three in Europe and one in the United States. Three electric models will be manufactured in Ghent: the Volvo FH, the Volvo FM, and the Volvo FMX Electric. The Ghent factory is the brand’s largest production site with an annual capacity of around 45,000 trucks. Heavy electric vehicles are assembled on the same line as those running on diesel and gas.
