European registrations doubled in 2022

A study by Roland Berger shows that registrations of electric trucks have increased by 90% in Europe, to 3,008 units. The large manufacturers (Volvo, Renault, Scania, Daimler, and MAN) account for most registrations, but the research firm notes that new European players (Tevva, Einride, and Volta Trucks) are seeking to compete with them.

By 2030, Roland Berger predicts that “even in the most pessimistic scenarios” the fleet of heavy battery-powered vehicles should exceed 200,000 units.
