Electric heavy goods vehicles will soon be able to recharge while driving on the French A10 motorway, in the Paris region. A consortium led by Vinci Autoroutes will experiment in real conditions on two test sections of two kilometres each, two dynamic charging solutions for heavy goods vehicles.
One is based on induction technology, the other on rail conductor technology. These innovative dynamic charging solutions aim to reduce the size of heavy goods vehicle batteries, to alleviate the constraints linked to their autonomy and the need for regular charging.
