EU proposes to include semi-trailers in the Eurovignette

In 2022, the European Parliament validated the establishment of a kilometric Eurovignette on the trans-European transport network, the amount of which will be calculated based on vehicle CO2 emissions and which will be gradually applied between 2024 and 2030. Last May, the European Commission proposed to modify the directives relating to this road tax for heavy goods vehicles to add the trailer to the overall calculation of CO2 emissions from the vehicle.
