Kia introduces its future PBV vans with ‘Easy Swap’ technology

Kia has unveiled its upcoming Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) aboard the PV5 electric van concept. The PBV platform, enabled by the 'Easy Swap' technology, allows for a single vehicle chassis to cater to various mobility requirements. Fixed elements like the cab and driver's area serve as the backbone, while interchangeable bodies, termed "living modules”, can be swapped and attached to the chassis using a hybrid coupling system. This mechanical and electromagnetic coupling transforms the PBV into a versatile vehicle, serving as a cab during the day, a delivery van at night, and a leisure vehicle on weekends.
