ZF develop an intelligent ACC

ZF has developed Eco Control 4 ACC, a sophisticated cruise control system. The German equipment manufacturer aims to reduce vehicle consumption through better software management. To achieve this, ZF developed an algorithm integrating other data. It uses information from map sensors and driver assistance systems (ADAS), then cross-references it with powertrain supervision. This then results in a speed regulator capable of taking the parameters of the journey (500m in advance) to adapt the engine speed.
