Tire sales continue to decline in Europe

According to the European Tire and Rubber Manufacturers Association (ETRMA), the second quarter of 2023 was particularly difficult for the sector. At the end of the first six months of the year, all segments presented negative results. Between April 1^st and June 30^th 2023, the replacement TC4 market fell by 12% to 49.5 million units, a trend equivalent to that observed over the first six months of the year. On a quarterly basis, summer showed a loss of 9% and winter one of 33%! Even all-seasons tires did not hold up with a decline of 1%.
