Poland resists the end of thermal engines
Poland still refuses to recognise the legislation relating to the end of sales of thermal engines in Europe coming into force in 2035. Through the Minister of Climate, Anna Moskwa, Polish leaders announced that they wanted to appeal the decision at the European Union’s Court of Justice. Since negotiations began, Poland has been the only country to consistently oppose the proposal and vote against the rules, arguing that they lacked a proper analysis of the commercial and social consequences of the ban.
