EuroPremium 2023

“Innovation, efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. At the vanguard of the sector. Yesterday Today and Tomorrow. EuroTaller and TOP CAR: We are the engine of Iberian automotive after-sales”. That was the opening message of the EuroPremium 2023 award ceremony, at which GROUPAUTO Unión Ibérica (GAUIb) rewards the EuroTaller (Spain) and TOP CAR (Portugal) workshops who have shown the most commitment to continuous improvement and high quality service standards.

The event, held on June 16^th 2023 in Madrid, recognised ten EuroTaller and three TOP CAR workshops before an audience made up of GAUIb members and the EuroPremium jury, comprised of professionals from the sector press and representatives of the network’s spare parts suppliers.

During the event, another three EuroTaller garages received their international EUROGARAGE World Class Garage 2022 awards. A replacement car was delivered to the most outstanding workshop in the already traditional SKF promotion. And finally, the Theodora Foundation received a check for 5,000 euros for the kilometres covered this year by the EuroTaller Theodora team of runners.

The gala, hosted and enlivened by comedian and impersonator Fede de Juan, featured speeches by Álvaro León, director of EuroTaller, and Vanesa Barros, director of TOP CAR. Both highlighted the extraordinary effort made by all the members of both networks during the year. They also spoke about the merits of the winning workshops of the EuroPremium 2023 as examples of the excellence of the two brands in Spain and Portugal.

Álvaro León stressed the importance of the values and foundations of the network: “training, technical information, image, marketing and original spare parts”. He also explained that Córdoba will be the city where the Network will celebrate its 25th anniversary in February 2024, because it was there that the first workshop of the network, Talleres Juan Camacho, joined. And he highlighted the network’s future orientation, praising the work of Radek Kolasa, director of network expansion, and Beatriz Sebastián, marketing director. He spoke of opportunities and how the best garages can generate future-proof customer loyalty.

Next, in a festive atmosphere and with emotions running high, the ten best EuroTallers of the year received their awards. Autos Duero (Burgos) received their award from Marta Aguilar (Delphi Technologies). Cota Multimarca (Leganés, Madrid) received their award from Norma Torres (Bosch Aftermarket Ibérica). Mecajima (Jaén) received their award from Salvador Llombart (Wolf Oil), and Talleres Carlos (Badajoz) theirs from Francisco Sánchez (Continental). Talleres Centrauto (Ciudad Real) received their award from Miguel Portolés (Denso). Talleres Fergón (Córdoba) received their award from Jorge Callejón (MANN+HUMMEL Ibérica). Talleres Miguel Berges (Zaragoza) received their award from Raúl López (Shell) and Total Car (Granada) theirs from Ana Belén Martín (Phillips-Lumileds).

Tratauto (Cádiz),received their award from Carlos Durán (Exide) and, last but not least, Electromecánica Miroauto received the award from Fernando Luna (Sogefi).

The following TOP CAR garages were also distinguished: Simo?s & Florêncio (Lisbon), Total Turbo (Coimbra), and Carbrain (Lisbon).

The ceremony also included the delivery of three diplomas to the most outstanding EuroTaller workshops in the second edition of the EuroGarage World Class Workshop 2022:

Electromóvil M. Cuevas (Madrid) won third prize in the Customer Service category and received the award from Víctor Borreda (ZF); Talleres Hetama (Córdoba) winner of the Fleet Service category, received the award from Javier González (KYB); and Garaje Motor (Linares, Jaén), second prize in the Best Workshop in the World category, received the award from Patrick Gravel (Valeo Service).

The ceremony ended with one of the most emotional moments of the night, that of the delivery to the Theodora Foundation of the check for the ‘Miles for Smiles’ initiative of the EuroTaller Theodora team sponsored by the athlete Pablo Villalobos. For eight years this popular team of runners has contributed to financing the visits of the ‘Smile Doctors’ to children and adolescents hospitalized throughout Spain.

“Since 2015, the EuroTaller Theodora team has managed to finance more than 7,300 visits thanks to the efforts of more than 15,000 runners who have worn the team's jersey in one of the 1,200 races in which they have participated, including the sector race, the Carrera del Taller”, explained Raúl González, coordinator of the latter and in charge of delivering the check corresponding to the team's last season, together with Beatriz Sebastian, head of Marketing for EuroTaller, Alejandro Echegaray and Fernando Nájera, from the Theodora Foundation. Currently, the Smile Doctors carry out their work in 64 hospitals in 16 autonomous communities.
