MG aims a plant in Europe
The Chinese manufacturer SAIC Motor (MG Motor, Maxus) has officially announced the upcoming opening of a production plant in Europe. The location of the site has not been specified. For SAIC Motor, this decision is a way of supporting its growing commercial success in Europe. But it is also a way to get around potential barriers to entry for electric vehicles produced in Chine. SAIC Motor's announcement is not an isolated case. BYD, another Chinese giant which has great ambitions in Europe, is also considering producing locally.
