Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xaomi enters the automotive market

Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has unveiled its inaugural electric vehicle, the SU7. According to its CEO, Lei Jun, Xiaomi's ambition is to become a world champion in this sector. This announcement comes at a time when Chinese carmakers are expanding their presence in the European market. Xiaomi's electric car will feature batteries supplied by Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD and equipment supplier CATL.
