BYD to build a car plant in Hungary

The Chinese manufacturer BYD has revealed plans to build a passenger car production plant in Hungary, marking it the first major-scale facility for a Chinese manufacturer in Europe. BYD is currently present in 19 countries with a portfolio of six models. It aims to expand its European presence with 500 distributors by 2025.
