Valeo stays committed to Lidar technology

Valeo has affirmed its commitment to the advancement of Lidar technology, a crucial component for autonomous vehicles. Unlike its German counterpart Bosch, which has ceased investments due to technological complexity, Valeo is doubling down on Lidar. The equipment supplier views Lidar as the cornerstone of autonomous driving, surpassing the capabilities of cameras and radar. Lidar uses laser technology to map a vehicle's surroundings, identify obstacles, and gauge distances.
