Is Europe facing a battery shortage?

While production of lithium-ion battery cells in Europe is ramping up, concerns linger over potential shortages. Roland Berger, a consulting firm, predicts that Europe will have a combined capacity of 1.965 TWh, falling slightly short of the expected demand of around 2 TWh. Germany leads the charge with potentially 536 GWh of battery cells, surpassing Hungary's 208 GWh capacity.
