Chinese automakers surpass 2% market share in Europe

Chinese car registrations in Europe soared to 353,276 vehicles in 2023, representing a market share of 2.75%. An increasing number of Chinese brands are making inroads into the European market, particularly in the EV segment, with MG Motor leading the charge. Sales of Chinese automakers in Europe have surged by 79% year-on-year, up from 1.7% market share in 2022. MG Motor continues to dominate, capturing 72.06% of Chinese brand registrations in 2023. The Saic Group subsidiary achieved notable success with its MG ZS and MG 4 models.
